 **** Manoir, Montmagny

Formerly a 17th century seigneury, the Manoir is located in an enormous, semi-wooded estate a short distance from the majestic St. Lawrence River and less than an hour from downtown Québec City. Built in 1814 it was converted to a hotel-restaurant in 1975 wich became renown for its fine gastronomic cuisine. The 23 comfortable rooms and luxurious suites impress with their consistency of refinement and unique cachet à la québécoise. Converted in 1975 by the Cyr family in an Inn-restaurant, the warm welcoming and gastronomical table is what made the enviable reputation. Recognised time and time again for its delicious cuisine, specialising in regional dishes, the auberge has always featured Quebecois products in the creation of new recipes adapted to the four seasons. The dinning room can comfortably accommodate 60 guests. For those who wish a quiet or private moment, we also provide smaller rooms for business meetings or a romantic epicurean experience. Stop by the cigar lounge and sample the irresistable selection of cigars, scotches and port. The Manoir has been honoured with the Gastronomy Award at the Quebec Tourism Grands Prix and was named Gold Laureate at the national level in 2002. During the winter months, you can enjoy ice canoeing with the famous Lachance family or an unforgettable dogsledding adventure on the beautiful "Chaudière-Appalaches" snowy trails. For the cool and comfortable summer months, the Manoir proposes a cruise to Grosse-Île, a getaway to l'Isle-aux-Grues, sea kayaking on Saint-Lauwrence River, golfing or a visit to one of our museums ex. highlighting snow geese, accordians!.
