Q: What are the average Campground Fees in Canada ?
A: Canada has a wealth of federal, provincial and privately owned campgrounds spread throughout the country. Private campgrounds are usually more orientated toward caravan and RV's and often have more services available such as entertainment facilities and swimming pools. In National Parks, fees range from CAN10-20 for an unserviced site and CAN18-24 for a serviced site. Provincial Parks range from CAN10-22 per night and privately owned campgrounds from CAN12-26. Roadside rest areas are also often available for RV vehicles and are free of charge.

Q: Is a vacation with a motorhome more expensive than with a rental car ?
A: RV's are usually more expensive than a normal hire car. However, taking into consideration that the cost of the rental includes accommodation, daily transport and cooking facilities – with no need for hotel rooms, restaurants, trains, taxis or coaches, they are an extremely good value holiday option.

Q: How difficult is it to drive a motorhome ?
A: Driving one of the smaller RV's is generally not much different to driving a large sedan. The RV's suitable for more than two and up to six passengers require you to take your time and approach corners more widely than usual. It does not't take long to get used to your new vehicle and most people do not encounter any difficulties.

Q: Do you have any additional equipment available for Rent ?
A: Most rental centers are providing for an additional charge the following optional equipment: Baby Seats, TV, VCR, Gas BBQ, Mountain Bikes, Bike Carrier, Lawn Chairs, Toaster, Canoes and / or self inflatable boats. Advance reservation may be necessary. Should you require any of the above please inform us accordingly at the time of reservation.

Q: Do you recommend to reserve the ferry in advance?
A: For your convenience we reserve ferry passages for all major routings within the Canada’s Maritimes. Advance reservation are necessary.

Q: How much is fuel in Canada?
A: Gasoline (petrol) in Canada is sold by the liter (3.78 liters is equal to 1 gallon). As a general rule, Canadian gasoline prices are higher than those in the USA and cheaper than Europe, Australia and New Zealand. This is in most part due to the taxes that are levied on fuel across the world. US taxes on fuel average 20-30 percent, compared to 40-50 percent in Canada and 75 percent in Europe.
Gasoline prices in Canada vary considerably between regions and the national highest price can often be 50% more than the national lowest price. British Columbia, Québec and Saskatchewan consistently have the highest petrol prices in the country and the lowest are generally in Alberta and Manitoba.

Q: Do I need to overnight before I pick up the RV ?
A: Overseas Clients e.g. Europe, Australia etc.: Due to insurance requirements it is mandatory to overnight on your arrival day at a local hotel. No RV pick-up is allowed. Clients from Canada, USA, Latin America: You may pick up your RV on the arrival day until 3:00 pm.
